If you are looking for a way to reduce inflammation, then a good place to start is by boosting your intake of omega 3 from oily fish. <p>The omega3&#8242;s from oily fish will help in two ways. Firstly because of all the omega 6 that is in our diet now and the lack of oily fish consumed, then the omega3 omega6 balance is out, this creates excess inflammation. By increasing your omega 3&#8242;s you will help to correct this balance and start to reduce inflammation. However, the real secret lies in the DHA fat</p>
<p>How DHA Fat Can Reduce Inflammation</p>
<p>The Omega 3&#8242;s from oily fish contain two essential fats, they are EPA and DHA. Both of them have various health benefits for you but in regards to how it can help to reduce inflammation it is the DHA that we need to look at. What scientists have discovered is that when DHA fat is in the body it turns into a new substance which is known as Resolvin D2. The root cause of inflammation is the white cells sticking to the inner lining of the blood vessels, too much of this is when problems start to occur; the Resolvin D2 helps to prevent too much of this from occurring by reacting with the inner lining to create nitric oxide which in turn prevents the white cells from sticking. This process ultimately helps to reduce inflammation.</p>
<p>To have the best chance of being able to reduce inflammation would mean eating oilky fish every day. For most people though eating fish daily is not practical not only because it would be costly, but also because of the toxins found in these fish could potentially be dangerous for your health as well. The solution to this is of course to take a fish oil supplement, but in particular one that is high in DHA fats.</p>
